Mira Lankatharan

—— Aspiring Software Engineer passionate about both the programming and design side

Although I have a background in Communication Design, I took the leap to pursue Real-Time Interactive Simulation at Digipen Institute of Technology Singapore. During my last year of pursuing Communication Design, I designed a farming game to educate children about the benefits of vegetables as part of my Final Year Project which made me more interested in game development.

My studies in both Design and Computer Science have taught me how to communicate and work efficiently in a multi-disciplinary team.

My studies in DigiPen have equipped me to understand C, C++, Kotlin, BabylonJS, game development with custom game engine, algorithms and data structures. Furthermore, with the multiple game projects during my course of study at DigiPen, I can work with people from different backgrounds. Being able to work under pressure for a deadline and converse well within my team, I’m seeking internship opportunities to learn and contribute to businesses in a software development role, where I can solve problems faced by users.

Software Engineering

I have a strong foundation in C++ and C, as well as Kotlin and Typescript. I am highly enthusiastic about learning and exploring new technologies, always seeking ways to challenge myself and expand my knowledge.

Game Development

During my four years of studying at Digipen, I have gained experience by actively participating in various game projects, including both 2D and 3D games. As a result, I am well-versed in the intricacies of creating custom game engines.

Graphic Design

Through my studies in Communication Design, I have acquired the ability to effectively communicate messages visually. My skill set includes creating advertising campaigns, UI/UX design, and web development. I am also proficient in several Adobe Suite applications.
